as was the best explorer in all of Candy Land. They loved skipping down the licorice lanes, where the air smelled like warm marshmallows and the lollipop flowers tasted like strawberries. Their favorite thing to do was ask questions. "Why are the clouds made of cotton candy? What makes the Chocolate River so swirly?" they would ask everyone they met.

One sunny morning, as stood at the edge of the wide, gooey Chocolate River. Across the water, Everlasting Gobstopper Mountain sparkled like a pile of jewels. "Wow! I have to see it up close!" as said. But there was no bridge! Only a few big, slippery gummy gators floated in the chocolatey current. The mountain seemed so far away.

Determined, as tried to hop onto the nearest green gummy gator. Wibble-wobble, slip and slide! as's foot slipped on the gooey gator, and they almost fell into the river! They tried again with a red one. Wibble-wobble, slip and slide! It was just too wobbly. "This is impossible!" as huffed, stomping a foot on the soft nougat ground. "It's just too hard."

Feeling discouraged, as sat down and watched a tiny candy ant try to carry a giant sprinkle up a peppermint stick. The ant slipped, but it wiggled its legs, took a deep breath, and tried again from a different angle. It didn't give up! A new idea sparked in as's mind. "What if I don't jump, but build?" Using a long licorice vine, as carefully poked each gator, lining them up head-to-tail to make a sturdy path.

Step by careful step, as walked across their brand-new Gummy Gator Bridge! They made it! On the other side, as picked the sparkliest, sourest, sweetest cherry gobstopper from the mountain. It tasted like success. as smiled, realizing that exploring and asking questions was great, but not giving up was the most important adventure of all.
