Princess Lily and the Tiny Bump
Princess Lily lived in a sparkling castle with turrets that kissed the clouds. Her best friends were Barnaby, a tiny talking mouse, and Sparkle, a fluffy green dragon who loved warm cuddles. Lily had a special heart; she felt things deeply and always helped anyone who needed a kind word or a gentle paw. Every morning, she'd hum softly as she watered the magical moonpetal flowers in the castle garden.
One sunny afternoon, King Rupert and Queen Alice sat with Lily, looking a little thoughtful. "Darling Lily," Queen Alice began, "we've noticed how truly sensitive you are. It's a wonderful gift. We want you to understand it even better." King Rupert added, "Yes, we thought we could play a special game, a 'feeling game', to discover just how unique your gentle heart truly is!" Lily's eyes widened, curious about this new game.
The castle staff, along with Barnaby and Sparkle, began building the most enormous bed Lily had ever seen! First, a soft, downy mattress. "Just one!" giggled Sparkle. Then, another, and another, until there were twenty plump mattresses stacked high, reaching almost to the ceiling. "Wow!" Barnaby squeaked, tiny eyes wide. Lily tried to climb up, but it was so tall! When it was her turn to lie down, she snuggled in, trying to feel nothing at all, because she didn't want to seem different. She closed her eyes, trying very, very hard to be 'not sensitive' for just a moment, but a tiny, nagging bump poked at her. Could it be real? She felt a little confused.
Lily remembered her mum's words: "Always be honest about how you feel, my dear." Taking a deep breath, she carefully climbed down. "Mummy, Daddy," she said softly, "I did feel something. Right in the middle. It was quite small, like a little round stone, but it made a tiny, tiny bump under all those soft, lovely mattresses." King Rupert and Queen Alice smiled, their eyes full of pride. They pulled back all twenty mattresses, one by one, until right on the bed frame, there it was: a tiny, smooth green pea! Lily hadn't imagined it!
"Oh, Lily," Queen Alice said, pulling her into a warm hug. "Your sensitivity is a truly special gift. It means you notice wonderful, tiny details that others might miss, and it helps you be so kind and caring!" King Rupert nodded, "Being honest about your feelings, even the small ones, is a super-duper superpower!" Lily beamed, feeling warm and understood. Barnaby the mouse snuggled into her pocket, and Sparkle the dragon gave a soft, happy rumble. Lily learned that day that being true to her sensitive, honest self was the best way to be.
