Maya and Zoe's Sparkly Christmas Secret
Christmas was almost here, and Maya and Zoe, two sisters with hearts full of kindness, were buzzing with excitement in their cosy home. They loved helping Mum, Dad, and especially their Gramma, making sure everyone was happy. First, they packed their bags for a special trip, giggling about all the fun they'd have with their family on the Sunshine Coast.
Their holiday at the resort was amazing! Every morning, they ate yummy breakfasts, played for hours on the sandy beach, splashed in the water park, then had a blast in the pool and hot spa, even making new friends. But now they were back home, ready for Christmas Eve at Uncle Rafa's, and as they started to decorate their own Christmas tree, Gramma looked a tiny bit sad because her favourite sparkly star ornament, the one Uncle Rafa had given her years ago, was nowhere to be found.
Maya and Zoe, seeing Gramma's frown, knew they had to help. "Don't worry, Gramma!" Maya declared, while Zoe added, "We'll find it!" They looked everywhere! Under the couch cushions, in the toy box, even behind the curtains, their little hands searching with determined purpose. But the sparkly star was just not there, and a tiny knot of worry started to tickle their tummies as they realised how hard it was to find something so small and special.
Just as they were about to sigh, Maya remembered, "Gramma always says her special treasures are kept extra safe!" Zoe's eyes lit up. "Maybe it's with her *other* special things!" They tiptoed into Gramma's room and, peeking into a little wooden memory box on her dresser, there it was! The sparkly star! They carefully carried it out, and when Gramma saw it, her face lit up like a hundred Christmas lights, giving them the biggest, warmest hugs.
That evening, Christmas Eve at Uncle Rafa's was the best ever! Everyone shared delicious food, laughed, and exchanged Secret Santa gifts, feeling so much love. Back home, Maya, Zoe, Mum, Dad, and Gramma put on their matching Christmas pyjamas and prepared carrots for the reindeers and a biscuit for Santa. Tucked snugly in their beds, the sisters knew their kindness had made Gramma's Christmas extra bright, and they drifted off to sleep, dreaming of the big surprise waiting under the Christmas tree tomorrow.
