Josie wiggled her toes in the warm, golden sand. She was on holiday with her family, and the Aussie sun made the sea sparkle like a thousand diamonds. Josie loved trying new things more than anything, and today was a big day. Today, she was going to try snorkeling for the very first time!

Mum helped her fit the snorkel mask over her eyes. It felt a bit funny and squished her nose. Holding Mum's hand, Josie waded into the cool, clear water. "Ready?" Mum asked. Josie nodded, took a big breath through the tube, and dipped her face into the sea. Suddenly, everything was quiet and blue. The only sound was a gentle 'Swish, bubble, pop!' as she breathed.

It was amazing! Tiny fish, like swimming rainbows, zipped past her nose. She even saw two mermaids with sparkly green tails waving from behind a big piece of coral. Josie giggled, sending a stream of bubbles up to the surface. But then, she saw something else. It was huge and wobbly, drifting slowly towards her. For a moment, her brave heart felt a little wobbly, too.

Josie remembered that trying new things sometimes felt a bit scary at first. But her curiosity was much bigger than her worry! She took a deep breath and kicked her flippers, not away, but a little bit closer. It wasn't scary at all! It was a giant, beautiful jellyfish, glowing with the soft pink and orange colours of a sunset. Its long tentacles danced in the water like gentle ribbons.

Josie floated gently beside the wobbly wonder, watching it drift peacefully through the water. The mermaids clapped silently, smiling at her. She realised that being brave enough to look closer had shown her something truly magical. Snorkeling was her new favourite thing, and she couldn't wait to tell Dad all about the giant, wobbly, wonderful jellyfish.
