John's Tallest Tower
John loved his sunny playroom more than any other place. It was filled with bright blue, red, and yellow blocks that clicked together perfectly. Today, John had a very big plan. He wanted to build the tallest tower the world had ever seen. 'I can do this,' he whispered to himself, carefully stacking the first three blocks on the soft, fuzzy rug.
Higher and higher the blocks went, making a satisfying click-clack sound with every layer. John reached up high, his tongue poking out as he concentrated with all his might. But then, as he reached for a green piece, the floor gave a tiny jiggle. Crash! The tower tumbled down in a messy heap of plastic. John sighed and looked at the pile, but he didn't stop. He picked up a big red block and started to build once more.
This time, John made the bottom of the tower extra wide to keep it steady. He built it slow and focused. The tower grew past his knees, then past his waist, becoming a beautiful masterpiece of colors. Suddenly, a soft breeze puffed in through the open window. The top blocks wobbled, tipped, and thump! They hit the floor for the second time. John felt his eyes get a little watery, but he took a deep breath and stood up tall. 'I will try one more time,' he said firmly.
John used every single block he owned, checking every side to make sure the walls were perfectly straight. His small hands were steady and brave. He reached up on his tiptoes to place the very last golden block on the very top. He held his breath and waited. The tower did not move. It stood tall and proud, catching the golden sunlight from the window. He had finally done it because he refused to give up.
John stood back to look at his magnificent Mega-Tower. It was even better than he had imagined. He realized that even when things fall apart, he had the inner strength to build them back up again. He felt happy, strong, and ready for his next big adventure. Tomorrow, he decided, he might even try to build a whole castle. He knew that as long as he kept trying, he could build anything at all.
