Hannah wiggled with excitement. Outside, the sun was bright, but inside, her mind was full of sparkly tinsel and jingle bells. "Christmas is coming!" she whispered to her tower of colourful blocks, which was almost as tall as she was. She loved building more than anything, creating whole worlds on the living room rug.

"Mum," she called out, "can we please, please, please watch a Christmas movie?" Mum poked her head around the door, smiling. "What a lovely idea, sweetie. As soon as this amazing block city is packed away, we can get cosy on the couch." Hannah looked at the sea of red, blue, and yellow blocks. Tidying up wasn't nearly as fun as building.

An idea sparked in Hannah's imagination. She wouldn't just pack the blocks away; she would build a super-duper, tall-as-a-tree Tidy-Up Tower! She stacked block after block, higher and higher. But the tower started to wobble. It wiggled to the left, it jiggled to the right, and then… CRASH! The blocks tumbled everywhere, making an even bigger mess than before. "Oh, bother," she sighed, feeling a bit grumpy.

Sitting amongst the colourful mess, Hannah remembered Mum always saying, "A place for everything." Suddenly, she had a new game! The big toy box wasn't a box anymore; it was a hungry Tidy-Up Monster! "Here comes your breakfast!" she giggled, tossing a red block inside. "Nom, nom, nom!" She fed the monster blue blocks for lunch and yellow blocks for dinner until every single one was gobbled up.

Mum came back in and gasped. "Wow, Hannah! The Tidy-Up Monster must have been very hungry!" Hannah beamed with pride. Snuggled under a soft blanket, with a warm chocolate milk and her favourite Christmas movie flickering on the screen, she felt extra cosy. Being good was hard work sometimes, but turning it into a game made it the best kind of fun.
