Hannah's Christmas Dance Giggle
In a snuggly little house, nestled amongst gum trees, lived a super-duper girl named Hannah. Hannah, who was nearly six, had a very special talent: she could always make people giggle! Her belly laughs were contagious, and her silly faces were legendary. She loved her cosy home, especially when it was filled with her mum, dad, and her older sister, Helena, and everyone was laughing.
One sunny morning, the air inside their house shimmered with excitement. Christmas was just around the corner, and everyone was humming carols! Hannah looked at the twinkling lights on the Christmas tree and thought, 'Hmm, how can I make this Christmas extra-special and fill our home with even more laughs?' A big, sparkly idea popped into her head: a surprise Christmas dance!
Hannah tiptoed to her room and started to practice. She imagined twirling like a Christmas fairy and jumping like a happy reindeer. She tried a spin, but almost tumbled over her own feet! She giggled, but then felt a tiny bit wobbly. 'Oh dear,' she thought, 'what if my dance isn't good enough? What if no one laughs?' A little frown touched her forehead.
Suddenly, Hannah remembered her best-ever trick: making people laugh! Her eyes lit up like the Christmas tree. She decided her dance wouldn't just be pretty, it would be wonderfully, fantastically silly! She bounced out to the living room, stood tall, and announced, 'Ta-da! My Christmas Giggle Dance!' She started with a wobbly-kneed wiggle, then made a funny fish face while doing a twirl, and finished with a grand, unexpected somersault that ended with her feet waving in the air. Mum, Dad, and Helena burst into the biggest, loudest guffaws!
The living room filled with claps and cheers, and the sound of pure, happy laughter echoed off the walls. 'That was the best Christmas dance ever, Hannah-banana!' cheered Dad. Helena wiped a tear of laughter from her eye. Hannah beamed. Her heart felt as warm and bright as the Christmas lights. It truly was an amazing family day, and Hannah knew that making her family happy and laugh was the very best Christmas gift of all.
