Hannah's Big School Adventure!
The sun peeked through Hannah’s window, shining brightly on her brand-new uniform. Today was a very special day! It was Hannah’s first day at the big, big school, and she felt a flutter of excitement in her tummy. She was a brave five-year-old, ready for any adventure. "Good morning, big school!" she whispered, looking at her shiny new shoes.
When Hannah arrived, the school gates looked like a giant, friendly smile. Children giggled and chattered, like busy little birds. Hannah saw her classroom, Room 5, with colourful drawings taped all over the door. Taking a deep breath, she straightened her backpack. "This is going to be fun!" she thought, marching inside with a confident grin.
Inside, her teacher, Miss Lily, was playing a fun 'getting to know you' game. Each child had to stand up, say their name, and share their favourite animal. Hannah felt a tiny wobble in her knees when it was her turn. But then she remembered, "I am brave!" She stood up tall, smiled brightly, and announced, "I’m Hannah, and my favourite animal is a lion, because they're super brave, just like me!" The whole class clapped, and Miss Lily gave her a special wink.
After that brave start, the rest of the day flew by! Hannah helped new friends find their pencils, she drew a magnificent rainbow, and she even got to sing a silly song about a wobbly jelly. She made two new friends, Leo and Daisy, who loved lions and rainbows too. Hannah felt so happy and proud of herself for being so brave and trying everything new.
When Mum picked her up, Hannah bounced all the way to the car. "My first day was wonderful, Mum! I was brave, and I made new friends, and I can't wait to go back tomorrow!" she exclaimed. Hannah knew big school was going to be an amazing adventure, and she was ready for every single day. She was so excited for more fun and more bravery!
